Hi
Thank you again for helping.
I asked a Japanese teacher 2 weeks ago to help me translate the words "Harmony in Motion"
and the characters aswell in Kangi as I need this for
a Martial Arts club name.
She told me "Harmony in Motion" is "Ki no chowa" in Kangi. The Characters you gave me are similar to hers only "no" is different
and is"Ki" the same as "motion" in English.?or does it only mean "active energy"
thank you

Hi Ettore.
If "Ki" is used as single words, it means "active energy","life energy","qi" or "vital energy [power]".
But "Ki" has been used in so many phrases,
Here is examples below.
affections // feeling // frame // frame of mind // heart // impression // mood // sensation // sentiment // state of mind // stomach, and more.
In a strict sense, "Ki" is not same as "motion".
I think that your teacher made a free translation for you.
"Ki no chowa" have a nice ring as a Japanese word. "Chowa undo" don't have such a nice ring.
thank you. Sei
